This fabulous Bulimba Queenslander charming and beautiful. It’s a picture of perfection, the style of Queenslander that makes you feel like you are coming home.

Living Spaces

The living room, like most of the rooms in this home, is simple and elegant. There is a double sided fireplace (the other side is the sitting room, off the kitchen). This room makes me want to snuggle in on that couch with a book (I’m binge reading Harlan Coben books right now; the twists! I can never guess them!) and a cup of tea.

The kitchen is the only space in this home that I would want to update. The door straight ahead leads to the sitting room and the door to the right takes you straight out onto the deck.

The dining room is a gorgeous space, filled with light.

Sleeping Spaces

The bedrooms are, again, furnished simply but they are lovely. One of the design tricks I have learned over the years is that, to give even a small room the illusion of height, hang the curtains above the top of the window and let the curtains fall all the way to the ground.

There are four bedrooms, three of a good size, and two of the bedrooms have french doors that lead onto the L shaped veranda.

Outdoor Living

A deck extension to the rear of the home has added a great outdoors living space. The pitched ceiling and ceiling fans make it perfect for those warm summer evenings.

The deck overlooks the pool and there appears to be a door leading to a space underneath the home. The listing provides no further details – perhaps it is a laundry space as there is no mention of a laundry in the listing or on the floor plan. Our old home in Ashgrove had the laundry facilities underneath the house. I used to be petrified that I would find a snake amongst the spiders!

Finally, for an inner city block, the land size is enormous – 1,083sqm. This side plot could be turned into an epic vegetable garden.
