This colonial Queenslander in Coorparoo is adorable from the front and impressive at the back with a rear extension to add much wanted space.  The house was sold in 2016 for an impressive $2,650,000.  It is not for sale now.

Isn’t the front exterior adorable?  It is on a battle-axe block, which means that the block is tucked away behind other properties.  Access to the house is via a long driveway.  When my husband and I bought our first home, we put an offer in on a house that was on a battle-axe block.  Although the house was already under offer, we loved the privacy and quietness that it offered, even though the house was old and needed lots of work.  I was really disappointed when the house went unconditional.

I’m not sure that I would live on a battle-axe block nowadays though.  It feels like it really misses the street appeal.  Although look at this view of this Coorparoo house from the front.  It’s a cutie.

Close up shows the gorgeous roof line and the ornate verandah brackets and the glass side panels in the door frame.  It is beautiful.

Outdoor entertaining is a breeze as there are two verandahs.

The backyard shows off the extension and is very private.

Inside, the decor and furnishings need some sprucing up, including a change out of the carpet.  I would love to see wooden floorboards in this room with the white walls and that brick wall.

Again, update the curtains and carpets and this room would be a delight.

If this was my house I would change the kitchen into something lighter and more modern.

Finally, there is a sauna that looks out onto the pool.
