I have over 300 listings of sold and for sale homes on my real estate website accounts. With so much choice comes so many decisions. And that can be really hard! Sometimes the exterior of a Queenslander is to die for, but the interior is terribly decorated. I know that I should look past the decoration and decor but sometimes that is so hard when it assaults your eyeballs when you look at the photo! Luckily, this house in Grange does no such thing.
Grange is a lovely place to live – filled with parks, close to Kedron Brook and of course, filled with historic old Queenslanders. If I had a choice of where to live in Brisbane, it’s one of the suburbs that I would definitely consider.
This Grange Queenslander is really lovely too. It’s not as fancy as some of the other Queenslanders but fancy doesn’t always mean better. Remember this humble little cottage in Red Hill?
So let’s take a look. It’s a porch and gable style with a single entry stair case. The verandah has lattice for privacy screens along with the ornate verandah brackets. I think that this house looks so cosy and warm!

Inside, this Grange house is quite simple. Clean white VJ walls, high ceilings, fretwork panels and ornate arches feature all throughout this house. The polished timber floors add warmth to the room. While I could bang on about the decor and furnishings, the character of this house shines and it really is a delight.

The lead light window is stunning!

A deck has been added to the back of the house, allowing for easy entertaining off the dining / kitchen area. It’s a simple set up that works.
