Over the weekend I talked about living in Kelvin Grove and dreaming of owning my very own Queenslander. Now while I wish that today’s post was exactly about that, it’s not. I’m still living in a 1970s brick home that is in desperate need of a renovation for my sanity. So today I went realestalking in Kelvin Grove and I came across a little Queenslander that is on the Kelvin Grove / Red Hill border (not for sale).
The exterior photograph on the real estate listing isn’t taken at her best angle. I wish that it was more of a front on view so that we could get a real feel for the house. From this angle, the exterior is a lovely shade of grey with white and charcoal trim. At least this is how it looks to me but in other photos it looks beige.
The double gables are sweet and I love the white picket fence as well. It doesn’t take too much away from the facade.
In search for a better angle of the front of this Queenslander, I went onto Google Street view and I was surprised to see a photo of the same house, pre renovation! What a difference. It just goes to show what a lick of paint and garden tidy up can do for first impressions. The removal of the lattice at the front has really opened up the house, although I’m glad that they have kept the panel in the middle.
Stepping into the front yard reveals a very neat and tidy garden. And tell me, does the exterior look beige to you now? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Outside, the verandah is perfect
Isn’t this set up stunning? If only we could removal the air conditioning unit.
The living area has been presented very we’ll for sale with a clean look with white vjs. The arch leading to the dining room is so pretty
One of my favourite views of this house is the next photo. White French doors that open to provide a glimpse into the bedroom. It’s completely gorgeous and I love it
I have not included photographs of all of the bedrooms. There are more photos of the real estate listing. They are just as neat and tidy as this one.
