I’m often asked how I find all of these gorgeous Queenslanders. It’s called a minor obsession and I spend hours looking at real estate websites. My phone is filled with screen shots of beautiful homes and unfortunately my record keeping is quite (very) poor, so I can’t always remember where I found a particular home.
But that is about to change! Cue scary music! I’m going to try and write a small post on each home that I post on my instagram account @queenslanderhomes. That way, I will have a record of the homes and, therefore, so will you! I started yesterday with a coastal Queenslander located in NSW – it’s an old house but is completely and utterly adorable.
Auchenflower Beauty
So, with that in mind, here is the latest house. It’s a renovated Queenslander in Auchenflower and is currently for sale. It has five bedrooms and three bathrooms and from the street, it looks gorgeous. The grey / blue exterior highlighted by crisp white traditional features.

Traditional features are plenty in this renovated Queenslander – french doors with fanlights, dowel balustrades, verandah brackets and window covers, just to name a few. Source: www.realestate.com.au
Moving along to the verandah. It opens onto a long internal hallway, two bedrooms and the kitchen, and looks wide enough to fit a table near the kitchen entrance, or perhaps some lounges or a swinging hammock.

The renovation is obvious at the back of the house, where a covered deck has been added, along with a living area with floor to ceiling windows.
