This Bardon Beauty is spectacular. It has had an extensive renovation that elevates this home to another level. This is the photo that sold this house for me. It’s absolutely divine.
Here is the home before all of the renovations. The exterior has stayed mainly the same, while the interior floor plan has been extensively reworked to create a workable family home.
VERANDAH AND ENTRY SPACES
This verandah is romantically beautiful. I would set it up with a small table and chair and sit out there on cool winter mornings with a cup of tea and a good book.
On entry to the home, we are greeted with a long hallway that leads straight through to the rear of the home.
The kitchen and dining spaces are in the middle of the house, before the new family room extension. I love the practicality of this kitchen, with an informal dining space and bench seating. Perfect for before school-run breakfasts and after-school snacks.
There is a formal dining room and formal sitting room. The dining room leads outside to a small verandah and also into the formal living room.
The formal living room is at the front of the home, the first room on the right after entering through the front door. There is an ornate fireplace as well.
THE FAMILY ROOM
The family room is at the very rear of the home, connected to another outdoor space, with built in BBQ and server windows to the kitchen. One of the things that I love about this room is how large and open it is, and how effortlessly it flows through to the entertaining spaces.
Here’s the view from the entertaining space.
The stairs lead up to the loft bedrooms and bathroom.
At the very rear of the home, there is a small study. This space would be mine!
There are four bedrooms and three bathrooms in this home. The photo below shows the stairs leading to the loft bedrooms and bathroom.
This is the master bedroom, which is the first room on the left after entering the home. The master suite has been extended into what was probably another bedroom.
There is now a male and female walk in robe. Plus an extravagant bathroom.
This is bedroom 2 on the floor plan. While there are no other ensuite bedrooms (other than the master), this is the only other bedroom on the main floor, so you could argue that it has its own ensuite (practically).
The loft bedrooms are simple and sweet.
The master suite is so extravagant with the his and hers walk in robes and now this bathroom.
I love this bathroom.
The loft bathroom is spacious and pretty.
The pool sits at the front of the block.
There is a small grassed area at the rear of the home with landscaped gardens.
Here’s the floor plan.
