After discovering a beautiful Red Hill Queenslander over the weekend (which made it to the favourite list), I went for a little wander through Red Hill via the real estate websites and discovered a ‘humble’ Queenslander. Although, this house, which is not for sale, doesn’t have a humble price tag. It sold for $1,482,000 in June 2017.
Take a look at it though. Isn’t it divine? I’m completely in love with the house colour – it is perfect. I love how simple the facade is. I believe this is known as a ‘porch and gable’ style. The ornate verandah brackets and the sweet french doors are so lovely.
Shall we take a look inside? It looks lies the house was styled / furnished for sale. Either that, or these people are the most neat and clutter free people I’ve ever seen in my life. If that’s the case, I’m completely and utterly jealous and I need to know all of the secrets to make this happen in my own house. The house has been renovated with an extension to the rear of the house and the house has also been built in underneath.
This room is so light and fresh looking. The living and dining rooms open up onto a verandah via french doors.
The kitchen is simple – the backsplash adds some colour into a very white room. The VJ walls in here sublime.
The rear deck, off the dining and living rooms, is spacious.
The view from the back yard is lovely. The downstairs deck is also great for entertaining. The renovation downstairs has increased the number of bedrooms to five. One of these bedrooms downstairs leads onto the deck via the french doors. A swimming pool for the hot and humid Brisbane summer just adds to prize.
Finally, the floor plan. There are five bedrooms, two living areas, three decks and three bathrooms squeezed into this adorable little Red Hill cottage.
